Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the LovePause mobile application ("LovePause", "the app"). By downloading, installing, or using LovePause, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LovePause on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) and these Terms.

Not a substitute for professional help

LovePause's Cooldown feature is a self-guided tool to help de-escalate everyday disagreements. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional support. If you or your partner are experiencing abuse, crisis, or a relationship issue beyond everyday conflict, please seek help from a licensed professional or appropriate emergency service.

Your content

You retain ownership of the notes, journal entries, mood entries, and other content you create in LovePause ("Your Content"). You're responsible for what you share with your partner through Our Space. Don't use LovePause to send content that is abusive, harassing, or illegal.

Pairing with a partner

Our Space and related features require pairing with a partner's device via Apple's CloudKit. You are responsible for whom you choose to pair with, and can disconnect at any time from Settings.

Subscriptions

LovePause Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (or, where offered, a one-time purchase) through the Apple App Store. Subscription price, duration, and any free trial are shown at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account, and subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings. One active subscription unlocks Premium for both paired partners on their respective devices.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use LovePause for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app.
• Circumvent or interfere with subscription/payment mechanisms.

Disclaimer of warranties

LovePause is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will improve your relationship outcomes.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LovePause and its developers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including damages relating to your relationship or interactions with your partner.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
